Penguin Hotel, Miami Beach

Staying at the hotel was an overall pleasant experience. The location is amazing, just across the beaches and on Ocean Drive, making it great for South Beach access. The rooms, despite being a bit loud from the street noise, were clean and comfortable. The service was friendly and helpful, particularly Carmen. However, the dining options could be improved to offer a more satisfying experience.

The hotel was a mixed experience. The rooms were bright and silent, a great choice for families with kids given the critical pool access; however, facing an aging building isn't ideal. The service was kind and generous overall but had some awkward moments with requests for tips and inappropriate discussions. The location right on the ocean was beautiful, although crossing to the beach was an inconvenience. The dining options were adequate overall, and the facilities were well-maintained.

The hotel is in a prime location right on the beach and amidst all the restaurants of South Beach. The rooms face an alleyway, which could be loud with doors closing and trucks passing by. While the price felt fair, the humidity in the room made sleeping and keeping clothes dry challenging.

The hotel is conveniently located near the beach and shops, offering basic but adequate rooms. The service was a mix of friendly and unhelpful staff, and the nearby dining options were underwhelming. However, the prime location makes up for some shortcomings.

My stay at this hotel was a bit of a mixed bag. On the bright side, the room was decent for a 3-star place, always clean, and offered lovely views of Ocean Drive and the beach just a short 2-minute walk away. Unfortunately, the room was a bit cramped, the outdated bathroom looked unclean, and the noise from the kitchen made it hard to get proper rest. The hostess at breakfast was also unfriendly and inattentive, leaving us waiting for far too long.
